Palma Mallorca

Last weekend we went to visit mum and dad friends who work on a boat in Palma Mallorca.  We only have a half days school on Wednesday plus Thursday and Friday were holidays (well actually Thursday was a holiday, but everything is closed Friday too because they call it a bridge day and it gives them a longer weekend) so we had 5 days in Mallorca.

Emily and Jason live on the boat, it is really nice. We had a cool view over the boats from our hotel and went out for dinner every night (except the first night when Emily cooked us a roast)

Some of the boats were massive.  One is so big it has a airport scanner to x-ray the luggage – and  it is privately owned!

We went swimming every day and went on a drive around some of the island.  We also went to the world famous lamb restaurant for lunch one day.  It is on the top of a big hill with a really wind-y road but is worth the trip.  It took us about half an hour to get up the hill and about 10 minutes to get down!

On the last night we went to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner and our ice-cream Sundays were huge – Ariki’s was almost as big as his head!
