First Week in France
We arrived in France from Uncle Albans house on Tuesday the 15th so have now been here for 9 days.
The first few days we didn't do much as we were Jet-lagged, but we have started going out and doing stuff as it is school holidays and we don't start school until Monday 28th.
We went to a place called Carcasonne Cite which had a castle in the centre. All the streets and shops are inside a big wall and you have to cross 2 moats to get in (but there is not any water in the moats anymore).
Yesterday mum typed Park into the GPS and it took us to a rope course place with flying foxes and stuff. We all had harnesses with carabinas and our own roller to make a flying fox. Dad and Ariki flew on a flying fox across the lake but Tamati couldn't because he was 1cm too short - so we will go back when he has grown! Tamati liked to wobble the wires whenever mum stepped onto them... she didn't like that very much at all! It was fun because none of us knew where we were going - not even Mum and Dad.
Mum and Dad have been looking at houses to rent as we are staying at a house that is an hour and a half from our school so we need to move soon. Most mornings we have pain au chocolat and french bread for breakfast from the local shop, which mum has to ask for in french and for lunch we have a "sandwhich" which is make in a baggette and is half as long as our arms.
We are looking forward to starting school .. will let you know how we get on
Have fun

Hi Boys. Hey I just got your postcard of Mickey (well it is really meant for Opal so I will need to get it for her. She is in New Plymouth I think. What do you think of the French Food. Have you tried frogs legs or snails - yuk!! We had the V8s last weekend. The town was a buzz. Very exciting although not my thing, I did go and watch. I found I got a great view off the landing on the railway bridge near work. I am getting my backyard paved with new pavers and have redone the fence between me and the rest home. I will send photos wehn it is finished. Take care. Bye
Hi Thomsons this is coming to you from the office of The Lifestyle Block Bloke; present are: Pete Smit and Paddy, Rory and Marg Forde and Bobbi the wonder dog Forde.
It's a sunny Saturday afternoon, the boys have all played soccer this morning Paddy and Pete's team lost (but Paddy scored a goal and Pete did lots of work and set it up) and Rory's team won, Rory got four goals.
Since getting home they've mowed the lawns so now their afternoon is free to play.
We have just read right through your blog again and really enjoy hearing all about your adventures.
Thank you.
PETE: "We are missing you back in class Ariki and Tam. Have a good time."
PADDY: "Class is going well, it's not as good working without you here this term Ariki. The class got your postcard from Disneyland and think the front of it is very cool. And what's so good about that lemonade over there? The Kiwi one's better isn't it? I'll post another comment soon."
RORY: "All going good in the mighty Waikato. The drought's over, lots of grass. There's some bad stuff. Chiefs are looking pretty sick to make the Super 14 semis. I really enjoy reading your blog. There's quite a lot of stuff you'
ve done in the short time you've been away.If you ever go to Paris go to a place called miniature France. I am learning French at school this term so I'll be able to talk to you in French when you get back. Well, say some words anyway. One more thing, Elroy, I dare you to eat a snail. Post a photo as proof please."
